Jaeyon Yoon PhD
Vice President, Head of Global Marketing
Jaeyon is Vice President, Head of Global Marketing and responsible for business development and marketing for SK biotek globally. Jaeyon has almost 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Graduating from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea in chemistry, And he received his PhD from Case Western Reserve University in USA after undertaking a doctorate in ‘Organic/Organometallic Synthesis and its application’, after which he took up a Post-Doctoral Research position in Organometallic and Organic Chemistry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Jaeyon joined SK in 1990, as a starting member for SK biotek since then he worked in various areas such as R&D, Business Development, Marketing and M&A activities.
Steve Barr PhD
Vice President, Business Development
Steve has 26 years experience in the Pharma and CDMO space. Following completion of a PhD in Organic chemistry at the University of Glasgow, Steve spent his early career working with large pharma in a range of technical and operational roles. He then moved into strategic sourcing and procurement before moving into Business development. Over the last 15 years Steve has worked with a variety of leading CDMO’s, taking progressive senior commercial responsibilities. He joined SK in June 2018.
Nitin Parekh PhD
Senior Director of Marketing
Nitin received his M.SC degree from Bombay University and attended Northeastern University, Boston College and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston for his doctoral and postdoctoral work in the area of cancer drugs and synthetic enzymatic pathways for pharmaceuticals. He took course work at MIT Sloan Business School for Technology Evaluation for Market Entry and was a staff researcher and visiting faculty at MIT sponsored by pharmaceutical companies where he also provided guidance to PhD students.
He has over twenty-five years of pharmaceutical, biotech and biopharma as well as pharma chemical industry cross-functional experience. This includes global corporate business development and management, marketing, M&A, R&D and manufacturing and technology transfer to market acceptance. He is a VP/Executive Director of Strategy & Business where he is responsible for new business and strategies in the growth and development of pharma and contract manufacturing business.
Tomoyuki Kitano PhD
Tomoyuki holds a PhD from the Hiroshima University in Japan. He has over 25 year experience in Pharma and CDMO business. In 1994 he joined Osaka Soda as a chemical scientist and developed chiral intermediates for pharma industries. In 1999, Tomoyuki moved into sales and business development, and in 2005 opened the representative office in the USA. After coming back to Japan in 2009, he served the head of corporate research laboratories, the president of DAISO FineChem GmbH (Subsidiary in Germany), and the president of Sanyo Fine (Subsidiary for CDMO in Japan). In 2019 He joined SK Biotek as an executive director and is dedicating his activities to Japanese market.
Brian Fairley PhD
Director Business Development and Marketing
Brian has 18 years of global experience in the custom development and manufacture of New Chemical Entities and generic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. He has worked across the pharma development chain from Drug Discovery through to Commercial Manufacturing, leveraging the strengths of anorganization to bring maximal benefit to his customers.
Following completion of a PhD in Organic chemistry at Heriot-Watt University he joined a leading CDMO and spent his early career working in Process Development before progressing into Sales and Marketing. In this capacity he held leadership positions in the US and Europe, supporting customers across a global footprint. More recently he established and managed European based Operations for another leading global CDMO.
Brian joined SK Biotek in June 2018 as Director, Business Development and Marketing, where he is responsible for Business Development activities and the sales support functions.
Nikolaos (Nick) Petousis PhD
Senior Director of Marketing & Business Development
Nick holds a PhD from The University of Toledo in the United States. In 1990 he joined Northwestern University Medical School as a postdoc where he synthesized LHRH and Oxitocin antagonist. In 1991 he joined Pfizer in Ann Arbor, Michigan as a postdoctoral fellow where he worked on renin inhibitors. Dr. Petousis joined Abbott Laboratories in 1993 as a process scientist in Chemical Development in Waukeegan, Illinois. He developed a process for LHRH antagonist and received the “Scientist of the Year” award for the effort. In 1995 he joined the custom pharmaceuticals group within Abbott where he was involved with third-party manufacturing. Finally in 2001 he left Abbott and ventured into business development. After a few stops with major CDMO companies he joined SK biotek in 2009 as the director of marketing.
As a member of the marketing team, Nick is contributing to the growth of SK biotek.
Pedro Couto Rosado
Director, Business Development
Pedro has over 30 years in various operational and commercial roles within the pharmaceutical CDMO industry.
Pedro holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lisbon and a MBA from the Catholic University (Macau). Pedro has held the position of Technical/Plant Director at an FDA inspected facility in Macau, leading a very significant expansion plan. After which he held the position of Head of Corporate Engineering, Pedro oversaw the installation of the first very large scale GMP spray-drying facility at a CDMO. In 2006, Pedro moved into sales and business development of Generic APIs and Custom Services outside the USA. Since 2008, Pedro has changed his focus to Services Business in Europe.
In July 2018, Pedro joined SK biotek supporting business primarily in the DACH region.
Global Marketing Communications Lead
Audraí has over 25 years’ experience in Marketing Communications, of which 15 have been within the medical/pharmaceutical industry. Qualified in Public Relations through the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, holds a BA (hons) in Marketing and postgraduate diplomas in Journalism, Psychology and Digital Marketing, as well as qualifications in web design.
Audraí is responsible for SK’s global marketing communications strategy as well as website, social media presence, branding, advertising, sponsorship and exhibition presence.
